Bridal Tea Parties

You many want the whole preparation for your wedding to revolve around this theme. There is no limit to how many you may choose to do!

Decorating

Add a "Romantic Ambiance" by using candles, silver, & crystal would also add a lovely touch. This is your time to “sparkle”!

Note: If you do not have enough of these items, you may want to borrow from friends and family. If so, designate someone to “be in charge” of these items. Marking each one on the bottom with name & phone number, and seeing that they are returned promptly with a small note of Thanks and in good condition! OR, You may wish to shop the thrift and consignment stores for these items. Then after the Tea they can be passed on to the Bride, so she may host her own tea party in style!

Another traditional touch is the use of Place cards. There are many unique place card holders suited for this theme.

Don’t forget the favors. Depending on the theme of the Bridal Tea Party, these can be hand made or purchased.

Use the Color Theme of the Wedding in the flowers and linens. It ties everything together.

For Example: If your wedding colors are “Brown & Pink”, Do a “Chocolate & Pink” themed Tea Party. For favors: Have small candy dishes with truffles or chocolates and pink meringue kisses at each table. Or Place a Pink Rose tied with a brown satin ribbon at each place setting. Serve mini chocolate chip muffins, chocolate chip scones, strawberry jam, and brown pumpernickel bread with pink cream cheese and chive spread. A Bridal Tea can be at a large table(s) or Buffet style. The buffet style would be a time saver and much easier for serving purposes.

Gift Themes

If the Bride is really into Tea Parties, have a gift theme. Have everyone give “Tea Party” gifts. Tea pots, tea strainers, mini-teaspoons, special flavored Teas, tea bag holders, a tea kettle, monogrammed linen table cloths and napkins, tea cups and saucers, recipe cards with tea party food recipes on them, tea party foods cook book.
